In-Kind Donations for Patients

At Huntington Health, we are grateful for the generosity of our community. Your in‑kind donations bring comfort, joy, and moments of encouragement to patients and families during their stay. Thank you for helping us create a healing environment for all who come through our doors.

General Donation Requirements

To ensure the safety and well‑being of our patients, all donated items must meet the following guidelines:

• Brand‑new items only — unused and in original packaging
• Advance approval required — all donations must be reviewed and scheduled before drop‑off
• No direct delivery to patient rooms — hospital staff and volunteers distribute all items

These policies help us maintain infection‑prevention standards, protect patient privacy, and ensure fair distribution.

Donation Drop-Off Hours

Donations are accepted by appointment only during the following hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Scheduling your drop‑off allows our team to prepare for your arrival and receive your donation safely.

Items Most Needed

Your support is especially appreciated in the form of the following high‑demand items:

• Coloring books (all ages)
• Activity books (word searches, Sudoku, crossword puzzles)
• Colored pencils
• Phone chargers (iPhone and Samsung compatible)
• New stuffed animals (brand‑new, sealed in original packaging)

These items help provide comfort, distraction, and a sense of normalcy for patients of all ages.

Toy Donation Guidelines

Accepted

• Toys purchased through our Amazon Wish List.

Not Accepted

• Toys with violent themes (guns, swords, weapons)
• Latex balloons
• Glass or fragile items
• Toys with small detachable pieces
• Toys that spark or create friction
• Items made with toxic paints or materials

These restrictions help us maintain a safe, healing environment for children in our care.

Monetary Donations

A monetary gift is a meaningful way to support our patients. Contributions to our Child Life Program Fund or Volunteer Department Fund allow our team to purchase toys, books, games, and comfort items tailored to each patient’s needs.

To protect patient privacy, we are unable to accept handwritten cards or letters intended for distribution to patients.

How to Send or Deliver Your Donation

Option 1 – Purchase from Our Wish List

Browse our Amazon Wish Listand ship items directly to our office. Our team will receive, inspect, and distribute your donation.

Option 2 – Drop Off in Person

1. Complete the Intent to Donate Form.
2. A team member will contact you to schedule your drop‑off.
3. All donations must be reviewed and approved before an appointment is confirmed.

Scheduling your drop‑off ensures your donation is received safely and distributed efficiently to the patients who need it most.
