Your Appointment

Updated March 2, 2022

To ensure everyone’s safety in our offices, we’ve made several changes to our operations. If you’ve scheduled an in-office visit, we sincerely ask that you please adhere to the in-office safety measures highlighted below. We suggest arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled visit to allow for timely adherence to these operational changes.

We’ve also noted a few tips to help you make the most of your appointment, whether in-office or via telehealth. Thank you for trusting us with your health and well-being.

Visit our COVID-19 Information page for up-to-date information and resources.

In-Office Operational Updates

While scheduling an appointment and prior to your appointment date, your doctor’s office will notify you of the proper procedures to follow when arriving for your scheduled visit, including collecting payment.

A New Contactless Check-in Process

Some of our offices have implemented a new, contactless check-in process entirely through your smart phone. If you’ve received communication of this change, please follow the instructions to initiate and complete the check-in process at your next scheduled visit. Thank you.

To minimize interactions with other patients during your visit, we have reduced and/or staggered our appointment schedule and will spread out patients being seen among available exam rooms. Again, we will continue to assess our appointment schedules and adjust staffing accordingly to meet your needs in a timely manner.

Prior to entering our offices, everyone will have their temperature checked with a no-touch device. If a temperature of 100 or higher is recorded, you will not be permitted into the office and next steps will be advised.

Pediatric Offices

We are currently allowing both parents or 2 caregivers to accompany a child to a scheduled in-office visit. Thank you for your cooperation.

Adult & Specialty Offices

One visitor is allowed to accompany a patient to a visit if one or more of the following criteria are met:

  • Patient is under the age of 18
  • Patient has physical, developmental, or cognitive impairments, memory loss or confusion, or English is their second language
  • Patient has a visit involving a new diagnosis or complex medical condition requiring discussion, or a visit involving a procedure, when able to accommodate

Please note: Visitors are not allowed for patients with or suspected of having COVID-19 at any of our offices, with the exception of one parent for pediatric patients.

Despite the lifting of many restrictions regarding mask use in various settings, we will continue to follow strict safety guidelines in our offices, including the requirement to wear a mask at all times.

We require all patients and visitors, 2 years of age and older, to wear a surgical face mask, N95 or KN95 mask, layered cloth mask, or a combination of these choices while in our offices. Face coverings are to be worn for the complete duration of the visit.

Upon arrival, if you present with any of the following face masks/coverings, we will issue you a new surgical mask as a replacement to wear during your visit:

If you are unclear as to whether or not your face mask/covering falls into any of the categories, please ask our front office staff during the check-in process.

All staff and physicians are required to wear an appropriate face mask at all times in our offices.

For information on how to properly handle and clean your face covering, visit the CDC’s website at cdc.gov/coronavirus

We are using CaviWipes and/or Sani-Wipes to regularly clean all common, high-touch areas in our offices. Both are strong disinfectant wipes effective against TB and most bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Each patient room is thoroughly cleaned with said wipes after each use, following guidelines from the Infection Control Department of Huntington Hospital. In addition, building managers at each of our locations have scheduled regular cleaning throughout each facility.

Additionally, we encourage everyone to practice good hand hygiene, in and out of our offices. All staff and physicians are required to follow proper hand washing procedures.

Please maintain social distancing (6-feet apart), as best you can, while in our offices. We have floor decals to assist with proper distancing.

Payments can be made with cash, checks, credit cards or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. Please review your health plan benefits prior to your visit to verify your co-payment and co-insurance amount and get answers to any questions that may arise. Be sure to ask our office what the full payment is for all cash services. If you have healthcare coverage through your employer, you’ll also need to provide your employer’s name, address and phone number.

Telehealth Services

Receive the care you need from the comfort and safety of your home through our virtual Telehealth services. Telehealth visits are video conference calls through your desktop computer, tablet, or smart phone. If appropriate for the care you need, your doctor will be able to evaluate your condition and discuss treatment options in real-time. For more information about Telehealth, click here.

General Patient Information

If you’re seeing a pediatrician, you may want to prepare young children by explaining that regular visits to the doctor are part of staying healthy. Start the conversation a day ahead of time so you can answer questions and calm apprehensions before you arrive.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, please call your doctor’s office at least 24 hours before your appointment.

If you’re a new patient, please arrive 20 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the necessary new patient forms and health insurance information. You can find select new patient forms online by clicking here.
